Discover the city of Bogota
The capital, called "Bacata" by the pre-Columbian Amerindian people, was the centre of their civilisation before the Spanish conquest. Take the funicular up to Monserrate, at 3,200 m, for a panoramic view of Bogotá before heading for the old colonial quarter of Candelaria and the historic centre. Typical ajiaco lunch. Visit to the Botero Museum, where paintings and sculptures inspired by traditional naive drawings have made Fernando Botero's reputation. Continuation to the Gold Museum, home to the largest collection of pre-Hispanic and pre-Columbian gold objects. Folklore dinner and show (minimum 10 people)
