Departure from Paris on a scheduled flight. Services and overnight stay on board.

Welcome in Denpasar

Balinese welcome at the airport by our local representative.
Transfer to DENPASAR where you will be welcomed in the beautiful traditional house of our friends Ati and Ming.
Balinese dinner.

Day 3

Denpasar, Tanah Lot, Blayu

From Denpasar to Blayu

From Denpasar to Blayu

Breakfast with your hosts.
In the morning, you will visit the colourful and fragrant market of Denpasar: "Pasar Badung", then you will take a short carriage ride before returning to your hosts for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on an excursion to the Tanah Lot Marine Temple, which you will discover outside of the busy hours.
Arrival in the late afternoon at the village of Blayu.
Settle into the villa where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Excursion and visit to Blayu temple in Penebel

After breakfast, departure to the village of Penebel for a mountain bike ride through the rice fields and villages.
Late morning arrival at the palace of a Balinese prince and lunch in front of a bucolic landscape.
In the afternoon, visit of the TAMAN AYUN temple, built in the middle of the 17th century by the royal family of Mengwi. Return to Blayu in the late afternoon.
Dinner and overnight in Blayu.

After breakfast, depart for the rice terraces of Blimbing and Pupuan.
Settling in with your hosts in a charming villa.
Lunch at our friend Made's Balinese house, then a walk through the plantations.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Blimbing, Munduk

After breakfast, departure for MUNDUK through the rice terraces.
Arrive in Munduk and check into a hotel run by the Munduk community.
This hotel is a unique tourism project to support the community in protecting the environment and conserving the culture in the spirit of responsible tourism.
Lunch at the hotel.
In the afternoon, you will visit an animist village in the vicinity of Munduk.
Dinner at leisure. Night at the hotel.

Munduk, Seririt, Banjar, Lovina Beach, Petang

Heading North

After breakfast, we head to the north of the island.
Visit the large market at Seririt, the Buddhist monastery at Banjar and stop at the hot springs. Arrive late morning at Lovina Beach resort for lunch by the beach.
In the afternoon, drive to the Petang area and stay in an ecolodge offering a variety of nature and wellness activities (horse riding, jungle trekking, yoga...).
Dinner at leisure. Night at the ecolodge.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning.
After lunch at the ecolodge, departure for UBUD, an artists' village located in the centre of BALI.
Settle into your charming hotel.
Free afternoon.
In the evening: traditional Balinese dance show followed by a speciality dinner at the hotel's restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Departure for the animist village of Tenganan where the Bali Aga people live. Visit the village and hike through a landscape shaped like an earthly paradise dominated by the Agung volcano. Stop at a "warung" (Balinese shop).
Arrive at Bebandem village, then drive to the royal baths of Tirtagganga surrounded by rice fields.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, enjoy the beautiful white sandy beach to relax....
Transfer to SIDEMEN village in the late afternoon, one of the most authentic areas of Bali.
Settling in for 3 nights in a charming hotel.
On arrival, you will be given a foot massage as a sign of welcome.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit in the morning mist the mother temple of BESAKIH, leaning against Mount AGUNG, the most sacred of volcanoes.
Then you will drive along Lake Batur before arriving at the mountain village of Kintamani for a brunch at a panoramic hostel overlooking the volcano BATUR and the lake.
Free afternoon to discover the village of Sidemen and talk with the inhabitants.
Dinner at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, you will go to the market to pick up the ingredients for your lunch and return to the hotel where you will sit in the traditional kitchen facing the Agung volcano, for your cooking class with the Balinese Chef. Lunch of the fruits of your labour!
In the afternoon, you can learn how to make offerings with the Balinese of the village.

Breakfast at the hotel, then on to Jimbaran.
Transfer to your hotel located on the beautiful beach of Jimbaran.

Dinner at leisure. There is no shortage of typical fish and seafood restaurants in the village, especially on Jimbaran beach.
Overnight in a superior room.

Climate and equipment

The dry season is the ideal time to visit Bali. It runs from May to October, with an average temperature of around 26°C: ideal for enjoying the beaches and discovering the temples and archaeological sites.
Try to avoid the months of July and August to avoid the larger tourist numbers and benefit from cheaper hotel rates.

Health

Be up to date with your vaccinations.
No compulsory vaccination but recommended: hepatitis A
Drink only bottled mineral water.

Formalities

PASSPORT & VISAS
The Indonesian authorities require that the passport expire 6 months after the date of entry into Indonesia.
An entry visa for Indonesia is required for all French nationals since 1 February 2004.
Cost: 25$ for a 30-day visa. The visa is issued at the airport.
