This morning, you will leave for Ardrossan, south-west of Glasgow, where you will take the ferry.

Climate and equipment

Scotland has a temperate oceanic climate.
Average temperatures in the summer months generally fluctuate between 15° and 20° Celsius.
Non-summer temperatures are then quite low. It's best to bring warm winter clothes.

Health

You should obtain a European Health Insurance Card from your health insurance fund at least 15 days before departure.
Public hospitals are accessible to all and free of charge in the event of a medical emergency (illness or accident occurring in the UK) for French tourists, whether they live in France or in another European Union country.

The referendum of 23 June 2016 does not result in any change at this stage for French nationals with regard to their rights of movement and residence in the United Kingdom.
The current conditions for entering and staying in the UK continue to apply: valid passport or national identity card.
