Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport
Evening flight from Paris to Tanzania.
Day 2
Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the charming village of Ambureni, high above Arusha. Enjoy your first taste of local life with a walk in the surrounding area, offering breathtaking views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 3
Arusha
Explore one of Tanzania's hidden wonders: Arusha National Park. This often overlooked park will amaze you with its diversity of ecosystems and animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lake before taking a 4×4 safari and guided walk to the waterfalls.
Day 4
Ambureni - Village of Seneto
Meet the Meru tribe, who live on the slopes of Mount Meru. Discover their daily lives, take part in a pottery workshop and learn the steps of their traditional dances. Spend the night in a local home for total immersion.
Day 5
Immerse yourself in the local culture with a culinary workshop where you will learn how to prepare traditional dishes such as "Loshoro". Stroll through the villages and coffee plantations for an authentic and enriching experience.
Day 6
Share the daily life of the Meru people by taking part in agricultural and craft tasks. Discover their ancestral customs and enjoy a day of walks and traditional activities.
Day 7
Walk to Lake Momella
Set off on a hike through picturesque villages to Lake Momella, famous for its pink flamingos and rich birdlife. You'll come across young Masai warriors herding cattle, a unique encounter with the local culture.
Day 8 to 10
Mererani - Tanzanite mines
After a transfer to the village of Mererani, discover the mysteries of Tanzanite, the precious blue stone found only at the foot of Kilimanjaro. Visit the mines and meet the stone miners who work in extreme conditions. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of this stone, while discovering the local trade in the Maasai markets.
Day 11
Road to Lake Eyasi
Cross desert landscapes to Lake Eyasi, a remote and little-visited region. Meet the Hadzabe bushmen, hunter-gatherers, and take part in workshops to make poisoned bows and arrows. Immerse yourself in an ancestral way of life.
Day 12
Discover the traditions of the Datoga, a people of craftsmen and farmers. Visit their metal workshops, where they work iron using ancestral techniques. Enjoy a unique cultural experience in the heart of Tanzania.
Day 13
Explore the Manyara National Park Reserve, famous for its dense forests and varied landscapes. Meet the local villagers and learn about their farming traditions. In the afternoon, return to Ambureni for a final evening in this authentic setting.
Day 14
Arusha
Enjoy a visit to the town of Arusha, in particular its craft market, before your return flight to France. This is your last chance to do some souvenir shopping and enjoy the African atmosphere.
