Discovering Tokyo

A full day with your private guide to explore Tokyo, a vibrant metropolis where modernity and tradition meet.
Take an urban walking tour and discover the city's various districts, from impressive skyscrapers to traditional temples.
Don't miss the chance to climb one of Tokyo's tallest towers for a spectacular panoramic view.

Day 3

Kamakura

A historic town

Guided excursion to Kamakura, a historic city known for its Samurai heritage and Zen Buddhist temples.
Visit the 13-metre-high bronze Great Buddha, an emblematic site in Kamakura, and admire the beach and bay of Sagami.

Day 4

Hakone

Landscape and Tradition

Departure by train for Hakone, renowned for its onsens (hot springs) and natural landscapes, situated on the edge of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
Cross Lake Ashi by boat and explore the Owakundani valley. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Overnight in a ryokan with traditional dinner.

Kyoto

Free Day

A relaxing morning in your ryokan and a final bath in the onsen before taking the Shinkansen to Kyoto.
Afternoon at leisure to explore the historic districts of Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka and Gion, immersing yourself in traditional Japan.

Day 6

Kyoto

Free exploration of Kyoto

Visit Nijo Castle, residence of the Tokugawa shoguns, and the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Discover the bamboo forest of Arashiyama and enjoy admission to the Kyoto Samurai Museum.
Option: attend a tea ceremony in kimono or take part in a katana handling workshop.

Day 7

Nara - Uji

Former capital of Japan

Excursion to Nara, the ancient capital of Japan, famous for Todai-ji temple and its huge bronze Buddha.
Stroll through Nara Park, famous for its free-roaming fallow deer. You can stop off in Uji to sample matcha green tea and visit the Byodo-in temple.

Himeji - Kurashiki

Historical tour

Depart for Himeji to visit its castle, one of the most beautiful in Japan.
In the afternoon, explore the historic Bikan Chiku district of Kurashiki, famous for its canals and preserved Edo architecture.

Day 9

Okayama - Hiroshima

The most beautiful gardens in Japan

Visit the Koraku-en garden in Okayama, considered to be one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan.
Continue on to Hiroshima to visit the Peace Park and Peace Memorial, witnesses to the city's tragic history.

Hiroshima - Miyajima
