You will fly to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. On arrival, you will collect your hire car from the airport and drive to Stirling, where you will spend your first night.

Your morning will be devoted to a visit to Stirling Castle, witness to the Wars of Independence from William Wallace, known as Braveheart, to the end of the reign of the Stuart family. Accompanied by a French-language audio guide, you will visit one of the most beautiful and famous castles in the country. You will then drive to Dunkeld. After lunch, you will have the chance to take a walk in Braan Forest, where you will have the opportunity to sit inside Ossian's Hall Observatory and watch the magnificent spectacle of the Hermitage waterfalls. You will then travel to Newtonmore and enter the Highlands of Scotland. On the way, you'll visit the Highland Folk Museum, which recounts the hard life of the highlanders through re-enactments and actors who will make you feel as if you were there. You'll spend the night at Aviemore, Scotland's largest ski resort.

You'll head for Inverness, the self-proclaimed capital of the Highlands. On the way, you'll stop at Culloden Battlefield, the emblematic site of the Jacobite Revolt. Then you'll visit Inverness before heading back to Ullapool. You will stop at Corrieshalloch Gorge, where you will walk through the forest, then cross a suspension bridge 30 metres above the void, to reach an observatory facing nature. Continuing on to the Isle of Skye, you will walk alongside the world-famous Loch Ness, Scotland's deepest lagoon. You'll have the chance to stop for a photo in front of the ruins of Urquhart Castle, where the Loch is almost 230 metres deep! And, if you're lucky, you might even come face to face with the famous Nessie monster... You'll continue on to the Isle of Skye and cross the superb wild valley of Glen Shiel. You will spend the night on the Isle of Skye.

After breakfast, you'll set off for the north of the island. On the programme: a stop in the small fishing village of Portree, the most populous town on the island with 2,000 inhabitants, then at Kilt Rock, waterfalls where the rock is shaped like the folds of a kilt and where the waters of the Lochs flow into the Straits of Raasay. A magnificent and unique spectacle! Your morning will end with a visit to the famous Talisker distillery, the only distillery on the island. After lunch, you'll take a ferry back to the mainland to Mallaig. You will have the opportunity to go whale watching on a half-day excursion. You will then continue on to Fort William. On the way, you'll have the chance to stop off at the foot of the Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for having been used as a film location in the Harry Potter films. You will spend the night in Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest point in the United Kingdom at 1,344 metres.

You will set off for Glasgow, Scotland's most populous city. On the way, you'll cross the magnificent Glen Coe Valley, and visit the Glen Coe Visitor Centre, which explains the history and geology of the site. You'll feel very small in the middle of these immense wild valleys. You will then enter the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and drive along Loch Lomond, the largest in the country. After lunch, you'll even have the opportunity to take a cruise on this Loch and enjoy the calm and serenity of the surroundings. You will then be back on the road, bound for Glasgow, where you will spend the night.

Your day will be devoted to exploring the city of Glasgow. On the programme: a visit to St Mungo's Cathedral, the only cathedral to have escaped looting during the Jacobite uprisings; the city's University, which as well as being the most beautiful in Scotland is the oldest in the country; the Kelvingrove Museum and its masterly building constructed from red sandstone; and the Green Park, home to the Templeton Factory (a former carpet factory built in a unique style) and the Poeple Palace (which recounts the history of the city and its inhabitants). You will then depart for Edinburgh, where you will spend the night.

In the morning, you will visit Edinburgh Castle, the most majestic and haunted castle in Scotland. It was the principal residence of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots, as well as other great kings throughout history. During the rest of your day, you can visit the rest of the Old Town (St Giles Cathedral, Holyrood House, Grassmarket, etc.), but also explore the New Town and its grandiose Georgian-style buildings. You will spend your last night at your hotel.

You'll go to the airport at the end of the morning to return your hire car. You will then fly back to France.
