En route to Slovenia. Departure from your home, with your own vehicle.

Arrive in Bovec, surrounded by mountains. A 15-minute walk to admire the Boka waterfall before continuing on to the Kluze fortress overlooking a 70-metre ravine. Continue towards the centre. Check-in at your hotel.

Day 2

Bovec - Soca River

Exploration

Exploring the area around Bovec. Take advantage of this incredible natural setting to wander around at your own pace. Here are some suggestions:

  • Visit to the Kozjak waterfalls (30 min. drive).
  • Hike from Kobarid to Tolmin (plan a return transfer).
  • Visit to the Kobarid museum dedicated to the battles of the Isonzo. Very interesting with its many rooms.
  • Original tours with our local guide: gastronomy, aromatherapy, medicinal herbs, etc.
  • Rafting on the River Soca or other outdoor activities such as canyoning or snorkelling in the river.

A choice of walks from Bovec. We recommend the Soca trail, a walk along the Soca. This trail offers magnificent views of the emerald river and can be walked for up to 25km. You can choose the distance that suits you best, and if you're feeling brave, you can hike all the way back to the source of this mystical river. There are plenty of swimming stops along the river, which forms some very pleasant pools.

Kranjska Gora - Vintgar Gorge - Bled

Tour of the Triglav National Park. A day exploring the region, with the Julian Alps in the background, the Soca River below and the Triglav National Park all around. Climb the Vrsic pass before turning off towards Kranjska Gora, then take a stroll through the Vintgar gorges (1,600 m of footbridges spanning the Radovna over rapids and pools). Arrive in Bled, where you'll be amazed by a landscape straight out of a fairytale.

A place for all seasons

A place for all seasons

Free day, without a guide, to enjoy the small town of Bled to your heart's content. and the banks of the lake.

Lake Bled is one of Slovenia's most beautiful spots. With its castle and church on an island, the lake is a magnificent place in any season. Everyone will fall in love with the romantic setting of Bled, Slovenia's star destination. The crystal-clear blue-green waters of this 2km by 1.4km Alpine mirror create a fabulous setting, which is what makes the site so beautiful.

From Bled we can offer you several options:

  • walk around the lake in 2 - 3 hours
  • visit Bohinj and its lake a few kilometres away
  • visit the small town of Radovljica
  • hire bicycles to ride around the lake or paddle or canoe on the lake's colourful waters
  • take a pletna ride to the church on the island

OPTION: 2-hour horse-riding activity in the magnificent Radovna valley, part of the Triglav National Park. Enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings of Triglav National Park on a white Lipizzaner horse. The trail takes you through quiet forests, away from noisy roads and villages. Lipizzaner horses are one of Slovenia's symbols. The Lipizzaner horse is generous, friendly and calm, so any ride with one is a truly wonderful experience.

Even more beautiful than Lake Bled, is it possible? Head for Lake Bohinj, and immerse yourself in an unspoilt natural setting. Lake Bohinj will captivate you at first sight with its natural and authentic character, surrounded by the Triglav mountains and charming villages that have preserved their traditional trades, particularly agriculture. Take a 1? hour hike to discover the Savica waterfall and take the cable car up to the Vogel station to admire the spectacular panorama and enjoy the walks and hikes at Vogel.

Bled - Logarska Dolina

Back to the Middle Ages

Back to the Middle Ages

Route to the Logarska Dolina region and its marvellous mountains. Passage through Radovlijca, then Skofja Loka, with its castle and Capuchin monastery, and finally Kamnik. Check-in at your hotel.

Visit the town of the same name and its pretty medieval town centre.

Logarska Dolina

Upper Savinja Valley

A free day, without a guide, to explore the surrounding area at your leisure. The park and valleys of Upper Savinja and Matkov Kot offer an incredibly unspoilt natural playground. Our tips :

  • discover the Gradišnik farm in the Matkov area and go archery.
  • visit the Rinka centre in Solčava and discover the current exhibitions or go to the Na Razpotju ecological house in Logarska dolna
  • a hike along various paths to mountain refuges for lunch at altitude: Klemenča jama, Okrešelj, Grohovt...
  • a bike ride on E-bikes along the panoramic Solčava road, which climbs to an altitude of 1,300 m. Also available by car.

In the midst of these beautiful glacial valleys, travellers will be able to recharge their batteries and feel like explorers at the same time.

Logarska Dolina - Postojna

Karst region

Karst region

Off to the Karst region. Head for the south of the country and the Nanos hills and vineyards of the Vipava valley. Arrive near Postojna and check into your hotel.

On the way, stop off in Ljubljana for a drink. self-guided tour of the Slovenian capital at your own pace and on foot. Stroll through the pedestrianised city centre and along the Ljubljanica River to visit the main sights of this beautiful city.

Includes: 1-hour group cruise on the Ljubljanica River. A panoramic tour along the water on a wooden boat, the only one of its kind in Ljubljana. You'll get a different view of the Slovenian capital and appreciate its gentle way of life even more with this gentle and surprisingly quiet mode of transport. You start on the riverbank, 2 minutes' walk from Place Preseren, recognisable by its imposing church with its pink façade. You'll pass under a number of bridges spanning the river and reach wilder stretches as you move away from the centre. Keep an eye out for otters. Then turn around to admire the imposing covered market halls along the Ljubljanica, as far as the famous Dragon Bridge, and return to the starting point. Possibility of buying cold drinks on board.

Includes: Discovery of the Postojna cave. Until 1818, visitors could only see 300 metres of cave. Today, you can admire more than 5 kilometres of spectacular galleries, passages and rooms. We always wonder about the point of visiting a cave on holiday, don't we? Don't think again, this cave is full of surprises, even if the place is quite touristy. After picking up the audio guide, the cave train takes you on a journey of discovery through an unimaginable underground world. Audioguides in French.

Discover the unusual Predjama castle. Self-guided tour (not included). 9 km from the Postojna cave, the castle, perched high on a cliff, dominates the surrounding area. The castle's most famous inhabitant was undoubtedly the knight Erasmus of Predjama, who rebelled against the emperor's obstinacy in the 15th century. Today, you can retrace the history of the castle and its former owners. The tour is very interesting, but above all it gives you the chance to enter a spellbinding place.
